Cultivate: The Birth Academy

Preparing for a new baby is incredibly exciting, but finding clear information and a supportive community can feel overwhelming. That’s why we created Cultivate: The Birth Academy!

Join Certified Professional Midwives Jess Slonaker and Heather Barrett for a comprehensive, 6-week childbirth education series designed to give you evidence-based tools and a built-in village of local parents.

Whether you are planning to birth at home, in a birth center, or at the hospital, this space is for you.

How It Works
We know expecting parents are busy! Our 6 classes run on a continuous, revolving loop. You can take them in whatever order fits your schedule—if you miss a week, simply catch it the next time it rolls around. You can join anytime and even make up classes after baby is here. (Breastfeeding and infant care classes hit a lot closer to home when your baby is in your arms!)

The Punch Card: When you join, you’ll get a custom Cultivate punch card. Earn a punch for every class you attend, and receive a special graduation gift from us when you complete all 6!

What We’ll Cover
Our curriculum dives deep into everything you need to feel confident and prepared:

• Pregnancy anatomy, wellness, and nutrition

• Comfort measures and positioning for pregnancy and labor

• The phases and stages of labor

• Navigating common interventions in hospital and community birth

• Postpartum preparation and healing

• Newborn care and nursing basics

Cost: $300 per couple for the full 6-class series

Perks: Light refreshments are provided every week. Each couple will receive a graduation gift for completing the series!
